Alessandra Antonaci defended her dissertation on the topic "The Gamification Design Process Applied to (Massive) Open Online Courses" on 4^th October at the Open University of the Netherlands in Heerlen.

Prof. Schroeder took part in the examination as a reviewer and examiner: "It is nice to be part of PhD examinations with formal rules and traditions in the Netherlands. This is far more ceremonious and pays more respect to the doctoral students than it is the case with our informal procedures in Germany".
