Examinations
Examinations in single modules are conducted as part of the course. Which kinds of examinations are being used is stated in the Module Handbook for the respective module.
Depending on the contents and the number of participants we try to use more appropriate forms of examinations than written exams as these are not well suited for testing the targeted competencies. Very often we conduct the exercises accompanying the lectures as projects during the semester and do an oral colloquium at the end of the course. The interim results count as part of the final grade.
The Focal Colloquium in M.Sc. is an examination that is not integrated into a course.
Special overall regulations also exist for the oral module examinations in Didactics of Computer Science in M.Ed.
