DFG Priority Programs
Priority Programs are established by the Senate of the German Research Foundation. The Senate identifies promising research topics and decides whether funding in the specific research field is likely to produce significant scientific results.
As soon as the DFG has decided to establish a new Priority Program, it invites German researchers to submit proposals for the newly established priority program.
Priority Programs provide the opportunity for nationwide collaboration between the participating researchers.
Priority Programs are usually funded for a period of six years.
