Visit of the State Secretary Klaus Kaiser

On February 3, 2022 RWTH Aachen University welcomed the Parliamentary State Secretary of the Ministry of Culture and Science of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia Klaus Kaiser and ORR Britta Matsumoto. LuFg i9 also presented two projects during the visit: The InfoSphere - Pupils' Laboratory for Computer Science and the VR Classroom.

Representing all student labs at RWTH Aachen University, the InfoSphere presented an example of the integration of a student lab into teacher training. In the course of this, various hands-on materials and modules were presented, which student teachers can get to know, test and further develop in the course of their training.

The VR classroom is a simulation in which teachers can practice various skills, such as classroom management. Learners can teach virtual avatars in a real-appearing classroom accompanied by coaches and peers in the training environment, which is shared and developed with various researchers, and thus gain practical experience.
